The I.B.S Parent–Teacher Association
Every family enrolled at IBS is a member of the PTA. We are the bridge between home and school — championing pupils, supporting teachers, and funding what makes IBS more than an ordinary school. Meetings hold every term; every parent is welcome.
👥 PTA Executive · 2026 / 2027
Elected every 2 years at the June AGM. Serves without remuneration. Every executive undergoes a Ghana Police clearance and safeguarding induction.
PTA Chairperson
Chairs PTA meetings, represents parents on the Governing Board, signs the annual accounts.
Vice-Chairperson
Deputises for the Chair, leads the Communications sub-committee.
PTA Secretary
Keeps meeting minutes, publishes agendas 7 days before every meeting, maintains the PTA register.
PTA Treasurer
Custodian of PTA dues. Two-signature bank mandate with the Bursar. Publishes termly financial statement.
Events & Fundraising Organiser
Runs the two big fundraisers (Bazaar & Founders' Day), plus quarterly family days.
Class Representatives
One elected class rep per class. Feed local concerns to the Exec.
Headmaster (ex-officio)
Attends every PTA meeting, provides the Headmaster's Report, does not vote.
Teacher Representative
Elected by staff each year. Voices teacher concerns to the PTA.

Every PTA meeting is minuted and shared here within 5 working days. Confidential items (safeguarding, disciplinary) are omitted; discuss with the Chair if you need detail.

- Chapel roof leak repair — parent bazaar 2025 raised GHS 22,400
- Reading Passport books — 240 titles for the library, from Term 1 subs
- Sports kit — full football + netball strips for U-15 teams
- Term 1 breakfast programme — free breakfast for pupils on the hardship register
- Teacher of the Term prizes — 3 prizes per year, staff voted
- Chess & scrabble sets — for Primary library corner
